TITLE: My African Conquest AUTHOR:: Julia Albu, PUBLISHER: Jonathan Ball REVIEWER: Valerie J Elder A charming real life story of Julia Albu dream of driving from Cape Town to Cairo, she is 80 and her car a Toyota is 20. A light hearted tale of an adventure that is an extraordinary achievement not only for Julia, but her car too. The story is full of light anecdotes involving people she meets, knows, gets to know and who all assist her in making her dream a reality.
This is a light easy read but makes sure you know full well the journey is not sometimes so easy for the travellers. Anyone looking for adventure this is a good place to start.
